Twisted Records is pleased to release this superb Shpongle track entitled Sound Barrier, in two versions: the studio mix and a live recording (with cheers included!) from the full band’s legendary 2019 Red Rocks appearance.
Beginning with the distinctive warbling of Raja Ram verbal elocutions and Simon Posford’s synthesised soundscapes, with shifting harmonic frameworks and creatively sourced sampling, both versions of the track morph into a deep & powerful four-on-the-floor groover.
Featuring beloved hallucinogenic hallmarks hailing from the Shpongleverse – including some gorgeous human vocals and real-world instruments to complement otherworldly flavours – Sound Barrier breaks the listener free from the mundane to offer an ethereal and uplifting auditory voyage.
These two glorious mixes of Sound Barrier are a welcome addition to your playlist of sonic psychedelic splendours.
